Collection: Teapets
Sooo cute, but why. Gongfu brewing involves a lot of rinsing and pouring, whether warming up your cups, rinsing previous flavours/leaves, or cleaning debris off your setup. So instead of splashing water onto a flat surface, pouring over a tea pet helps control the flow and turns a routine task into a satisfying little ritual. Plus, as you do this over time, you’re actually raising it with tea, as it slowly absorbs tea oils and develops character. In Chinese tradition, different animals bring different kinds of luck, so through raising your tea pet, you will be blessed with their ~energy~ But there’s no pressure to stain them with tea, many people keep them pristine too :)
Oh yeah, as an extra excuse, they can also hold your teapot or Gaiwan lids while you clean or switch teas haha.
